License

TokenStream adopts a Usage-Based Dual Licensing model.

Before using TokenStream, please read the complete license terms in the project LICENSE.

Open Source License (AGPLv3)

Under AGPLv3, you are free to use, modify, and distribute TokenStream for personal and open-source projects.

Key Terms:

  • Free to use, modify, and distribute
  • Full License Text: GNU AGPLv3
  • Core Obligation: If you modify and deploy it as a network service (SaaS), you must provide the complete source code under AGPLv3.
  • Branding Requirement: You must retain all original branding, logos, and copyright notices.

When using only the AGPLv3 license, you may not remove or modify TokenStream's branding. White-labeling requires obtaining a commercial license.

Commercial License

You must obtain a commercial license in the following scenarios:

Scenario One: Removing Brand and Copyright Information

  • You wish to remove TokenStream's LOGO, UI interface copyright statements, or other brand identifiers from your products or services.

Scenario Two: Avoiding AGPLv3 Open Source Obligations

  • You have modified TokenStream and wish to provide services via the network (SaaS) but do not want to disclose your modified source code to your service users.
  • You need to distribute a software product that integrates TokenStream but do not want to release your product or disclose source code under the AGPLv3 license.

Scenario Three: Enterprise Policy and Integration Requirements

  • Your company policy, customer contracts, or project requirements do not allow the use of AGPLv3 licensed software.
  • You need to perform OEM integration, redistributing TokenStream as part of your closed-source commercial product.

Scenario Four: Commercial Support and Assurance Needed

  • You require commercial assurance not provided by AGPLv3, such as official technical support.
